Hi there! I'm Melanie, welcome to my blog! 

Blogging is something I love to do in my free time. I adore all things vintage and creative, as an illustrator I am constantly on the lookout for reference images so bloggers are my primary source of insperation and after a long time of looking at them, I decided to finally create my own! 

Here you will see outfits of the day, DIYs, current obsessions, recipes, little personal tidbits, articles for self improvement, and so much more!

 

Although I was born in Pomona California, I spent a large portion of my upbringing in The Netherlands where I learned a great deal about the importance of culture and. At age 15 I found myself back in the U.S. where I finished high school and attended college at the Art Institute of CA OC. 

In 2011 I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Media Arts & Animation as a Visual Development Artist, you can view my Illustrations at The Art Of Berg. 

I try and update my Life&Style Blog A Modern Dame once a week, where I share all of my fancy fashion obsessions, current crafty DIY's, and general love of life.  

I also have a writing blog where I share my thoughts on the art of writing, excerpts from my personal writes, and updates on my current novel at Shadowed Thoughts.
